Site Inspector

This is not for immediate hire. Candidates for the Site Inspector position will be considered for our internal Recovery Cadre pipeline. Individuals we have added to this internal Recovery Cadre pipeline will receive first consideration for future openings that align with their skillset and interests. The Site Inspector will be responsible for tasks related to the inspection and documentation of disaster effected facilities and infrastructure. The Site Inspector will work as part of a team and support disaster recovery efforts.

Responsibilities for the Site Inspector Include:

  • Performing site inspections of storm-damaged facilities and related infrastructure.
  • Reconciling scope captured in federal grants with the work completed in the field (as identified by the site inspection).
  • Documenting storm-related damages and development of detailed damage descriptions and dimensions and scopes of work.
  • Coordinating with grant managers and the Project Management Team (PMT) to close out federal grants.

Qualifications for the Site Inspector Include:

  • A basic understanding and knowledge of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) Program.
  • Prior experience completing site inspections, field reports, etc.
  • Prior experience in Permanent work or Category C-G.
  • Working knowledge of FEMA PA Laws, Regulations & Policy.
  • Bachelor's degree required, or 4 years of related work experience in lieu of degree.

Compensation for the Site Inspector Includes:

  • Salary range of $85,000 - $125,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
