The Water/Wastewater Policy Manager will be responsible for supporting the recovery efforts of communities affected by natural disasters. This position will focus on Category F projects, specifically those related to water and wastewater management, and will provide project management support for ongoing FEMA Public Assistance (PA) programs. This position will be remote with travel required to client sites as needed.

Responsibilities for the Water/Wastewater Policy Manager Include:

• Research and analyze water and wastewater policies and regulations, identifying opportunities for policy improvement and developing recommendations
• Provide technical assistance to clients on a variety of water and wastewater issues, including regulatory compliance, project planning, and develop associated policy/training documentation as needed
• Support FEMA PA Category F projects, including analyzing data and providing consultative support to local and state-level clients
• Assist in the development and implementation of emergency management plans for water and wastewater systems
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to clients and stakeholders

Qualifications for the Water/Wastewater Policy Manager Include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management, Public Policy, Public Administration, Environmental Policy, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in emergency management, water, or wastewater, or floodplain management
• Strong understanding of FEMA Public Assistance (PA) programs
• Knowledge of Category F or related work, such as floodplain, water, or wastewater management
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Compensation for the Water/Wastewater Policy Manager Includes:

• Salary range of $88,000 - $150,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
